City Hall has been quietly working on a plan to drastically increase the density in many Calgary neighborhoods. It uses a document called "THE GUIDEBOOK FOR GREAT COMMUNITIES" to make this happen.
If they succeed, many single-family Calgary communities will be forever changed: six-story apartment buildings, three-story walkups. 31 neighbourhoods will be affected almost immediately -- and more will likely follow.
The vote is this Monday, March 22.
